Helsinki’s Guggenheim museum symbolizes our contemporaneous concerns, marking the determination to build a better world. It is a reflection on the possibility to live in harmony with our environment, respectful of the site and in symbiosis with the city. In this way, the Finnish museum inscribes itself in the contemporary architecture history of the 21st century.
Located in the docks of the Helsinki bay, the Finnish Guggenheim museum enjoys one of the most beautiful places of the city. Strategically positioned in the heart of the historical center, the museum is the perfect starting point for two themed walks, the first one extending along the docks and the second one, through the historical center and through the following landmarks: Palace hotel, Market hall, Market square, Uspenskin Cathedral, then through the Senate square, Helsinki’s cathedral, the Esplanadi park, Kasarmitori square, the Finnish, military and design museums including a walk into the Tahititornin park.
